Blacktop and Roof Repair Asphalt Sealant provides a durable, flexible, and weather-resistant seal for cracks and joints in asphalt driveways. It is also ideal for waterproofing, repairing, and sealing roofs, shingles, and flashings around chimneys and skylights. The sealant can adhere to concrete, stone, brick, mortar, slate, cinderblock, stucco, metals, and painted and unpainted wood. It may also be used with fiberglass and other types of reinforcing fabrics to provide longer-lasting repairs and is suitable for below-grade applications. It is not recommended for filling butt joints, correcting surface defects, tuckpointing, or for underwater, marine, aquarium, automotive, or mirror applications. The combustible sealant should not be used on coal tar roofs, 100% polymeric roofs, or foam. Joint size should not exceed 1/2"; if the joint depth exceeds 1/4", use a backer rod. Note: The surface must be clean and free from dirt, dust, grease, oil, mildew, wax, loose paint, frost, and old sealant or caulking before application. For metal surfaces, all rust and scale should be removed. Do not apply when rain or freezing temperatures are expected.
