Overview

The UFO is the original "screw-in" funnel rain barrel diverter system for drums in locations with or without downspouts. UFO diverters combine the functions of water collection, screening, distribution, and overflow management in an easy-to-install screw-in assembly. To install, remove the coarse (buttress) thread bung cap on the top of the drum and screw in the UFO diverter. Place below a shortened downspout or roof valley, then connect and adjust the overflow hose. The UFO docking diverters connect to a flexible downspout adapter for sealed use and have a 4" diameter funnel with a filter screen for catching bugs and debris, cover for store-on-drum winterization, and a high-capacity accordion drain hose. Optional accessories, sold separately, include linking hubs that easily connect multiple barrels, drum-full indicators that are inserted in the top of the linking hub to show when barrels are full, and thread adapters to allow a fine-threaded drum to be used with the coarse thread diverters. Use the EarthMark™ Add-A-Spigot kit to add a high-flow ball valve spigot with a garden hose threaded outlet to any rain barrel, tank, or other plastic container. This kit includes a quarter turn high flow ball valve, threaded seal, and 1-1/4" spade bit, all the parts needed to add a spigot to a rain barrel in minutes.
