Also referred to as a combined air-release valve, this valve allows air to escape during filling while continuously releasing air pockets from pressurized pipes through a secondary orifice. Additionally, it acts as a vacuum breaker, allowing air intake during drainage to prevent vacuum formation and potential pipe collapse. Install the valve vertically wherever air is most likely to collect or at the highest elevation points in the system. The valve's position must be within 5° of the top of the pipe to allow for proper alignment and movement of the float. Note: It is recommended that a ball valve and riser (sold separately) are installed before this air-release valve to allow for isolation if maintenance is required; see spec sheet for more details.
- Glass-reinforced nylon body; Polypropylene float; EPDM float seal & O-ring
