The cap provides a tamper-evident and hermetic (or airtight) seal, drawing a vacuum on any jar with a lug finish; a lug finish consists of several tapered ridges designed to mate, requiring only a partial turn to seal the cap. Note: Minimum sealing temperature is the temperature of the product in the container after capping.
