Overview

IBC tote tank alarms detect high or low liquid levels in IBC tanks using a float switch. The alarms include a long-lasting lithium-ion battery for years of uninterruptible use and a low-battery alert. Adjusting the depth of the alarm is done by simply loosening the thumb knob on the lid and positioning the pipe to the desired depth by hand for a maximum of 10" (high level alarm) or 53" (low level alarm). The float switch is protected inside the pipe from physical damage, making it easy to store and transfer to another container. high level alarms ensure a tank is never overfilled; when the liquid level reaches the float switch, the alarm sounds a loud warbling buzzer and flashing LED. Pressing the silencing button mutes the buzzer for 30 minutes while the LED flashes. The models with a liquid feeding pipe go through the center plug in an IBC lid to mount the alarm pipe and liquid pipes through the plug. The models without a liquid feeding pipe consist of a single pipe that contains the float switch at the bottom end and is mounted on a flat IBC lid with no screw-in plug in the center. The low level alarms ensure that processes never run out of chemicals. When the liquid level drops below the protected float switch, the IBC alarm emits a loud 103dB beeping sound and flashing LED. A push button to test the battery or silence the alarm is included, along with different field-settable behaviors like a snooze alarm and tank filling modes. In the default mode, the LED flashes after the button is pressed to silence the buzzer. In the tank-fill mode, the LED and buzzer turn off until the next high level event, which resets automatically. low level models are available with a liquid suction pipe with a removable filter screen to guard against debris or crystals, a liquid suction pipe, and a flow meter for a convenient visual indicator of the flow, or without a suction pipe. A replaceable check valve, sold separately, can be easily inserted in-line to prevent liquid from draining when transferring to new containers. Kynar® PVDF versions of both alarms and accessories, like an AC power cord, slip lid, relay output, and wireless transmitter/receiver, are available; contact us for a quote.
